DIFFUSE CORONARY ARTERIAL ECTASIA WITH HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY
A 40 year old male, a known case of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, was admitted for catheterization. At catheterization and angiography, septum was hypertrophied to about 5cm and diffuse coronary artery aneurysm was revealed. We found no previous report of coronary artery aneurysm in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
متن کاملcardiac mri in a patient with coincident left ventricular non-compaction and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
left ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy is a rare congenital cardiomyopathy that affects both children and adults. since the clinical manifestations are not sufficient to establish diagnosis, echocardiography is the diagnostic tool that makes it possible to document ventricular non-compaction and establish prognostic factors. we report a 47-year-old woman with a history of dilated cardio...
متن کاملTrabeculated (Noncompacted) and Compact Myocardium in Adults
Background—A high degree of noncompacted (trabeculated) myocardium in relationship to compact myocardium (trabeculated to compact myocardium [T/M] ratio 2.3) has been associated with a diagnosis of left ventricular noncompaction (LVNC). The purpose of this study was to determine the normal range of the T/M ratio in a large population-based study and to examine the relationship to demographic an...
متن کاملOrthotopic liver transplantation in two patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.
Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) in patients with end-stage liver disease is a procedure associated with high cardiac output, low systemic vascular resistance (SVR), coagulopathy and the potential for significant blood loss. A feature of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) is left ventricular outflow tract obstruction which may be exacerbated by reduced SVR, reduced filling pre...
متن کاملIsolated Noncompacted Myocardium in an Elderly Patient
Noncompaction of the myocardium (NCM) is a rare disorder that is characterized by prominent myocardial trabecularizations and deep intertrabecular recesses, leading to a spongy appearance of the myocardium. In the first month of normal intrauterine development, the myocardium consists of a mesh of muscle fibers. In this mesh, trabeculae alternate with recesses, which provide the blood supply to...
